For those who are familiar with our show presentation format, each and every night of the cruise features a major nightly show for each of our dining groups.  Starting around 6 pm every night, those who are in 1^st Seating Dining will dine and then will see their major nightly show around 8:30 pm or so.  Those in Main Seating Dining will go to their major nightly show which will start around 6 pm as well.  The exact show times and dining schedules have not been confirmed, but these times are reasonable approximations at this time.  The nightly shows may be the same show twice or different shows.  In either event, each show is performed once for 1^st Seating Diners and once for Main Seating Diners, so you will see every show sometime during the cruise.

The major nightly shows of The Malt Shop Memories Cruise 2012 will be held in the Mainstage Lounge. There is ample good seating for every guest and to make sure that you do not have to wait in a long line and battle for your seat, each and every seat for our guests will be assigned. To accomplish this, we have divided the Vista Lounge into four sections. Your assigned section is dependent primarily upon your cabin category, but other criteria will apply, such as the timing of your reservation.

At the time of your reservation, you will select your preferred show time and preferred dining time. You will also be told in what Color Coded Section you will be assigned. The Color Coded Section that you will be assigned is dependent first upon your cabin category as follows:

Orange	–	Suites
Blue	–	Verandah Cabins
Pink	–	Oceanview Cabins
Green	–	Inside Cabins

When you are booking your cabin, your reservationist will inform you of your Color Coded Section. You will then select a Preferred Area within your Color Coded Section for your seating. The priority in selecting the Preferred Area is based upon real time availability, as you will be placed in your section according to the date of your reservation. Your specific seat(s) will be determined by the computer when we print out the “ticket” information. Again, this procedure only applies to the major nightly shows; all other events are on a first-come-first-served basis.

Though not perfect by any measure, the Seating Procedure does the following:

• Each guest will have an assigned seat.
•  The quality of the seat will be due to many factors:
  • cabin category,
  • and the date of your reservation.

We hope that you will agree that this system offers fairness, safety and procedure to an otherwise thorny issue.
